Certified filtration, specified to the highest standard.

Every system we fit removes PFAS as a baseline. We specify the right grade for your property and your supply from your report, then confirm it by testing at your own tap on installation day — never the most expensive option by default.

Our systems

Choose your level of filtration.

Three grades of certified system, each removing PFAS as a baseline. Clarity and Purity are fixed-price and quoted on the call; Total is quoted after a site survey.

Clarity
Ceramic + carbon
An under-sink ceramic and carbon block system with a dedicated PFAS cartridge. The ceramic is a physical barrier at sub-micron pore size for sediment, bacteria and cysts; the carbon handles chlorine and organic compounds. Our entry level.
Entry level · under-sink
Purity
Reverse osmosis · NSF/ANSI 58
Reverse osmosis at your kitchen tap — the broadest removal of any home method. Certified to NSF/ANSI 58, with reduction claims covering PFAS, lead, arsenic, fluoride, dissolved solids and VOCs together, not one at a time.
Certified drinking water
Total
Whole-house + RO
Whole-house filtration on the incoming supply, so every outlet is protected, plus a reverse osmosis drinking tap in the kitchen. Our highest level of protection. A survey is required before we quote.

How the grades compare

What each grade of filtration actually removes.

The three systems we install, side by side. Carbon and ceramic stages address taste, sediment and microbiological contaminants; only reverse osmosis is independently certified to NSF/ANSI 58 for the removal of dissolved contaminants such as lead, fluoride and PFAS.

Reverse osmosis (Purity) and the whole-house and RO system (Total) are the only options independently certified to NSF/ANSI 58 for the removal of dissolved contaminants, including PFAS, lead and fluoride. Ceramic and carbon media (Clarity) address microbiological contaminants, microplastics and PFAS, but are not certified for dissolved inorganic contaminants. Standards referenced: NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58 and 401. † Removed by physical mechanism — membrane rejection or pore size — but not among the certified reduction claims published for the systems we fit. Microplastics have no NSF certification standard in existence; nitrate is an optional NSF/ANSI 58 claim that the reverse osmosis system we fit does not carry. On PFAS, certification covers six named compounds — PFOA, PFOS, PFHpA, PFHxS, PFNA and PFBS — under the NSF Total PFAS claim, not every PFAS compound. Total additionally treats the incoming supply, delivering filtered water to every outlet in the property.

How the alternatives compare.

Most households already filter in some form. None of the below are products we supply or fit, but it is worth knowing where each one stops.

MethodWhere it stops
Jug & fridge filterBasic carbonImproves chlorine taste and odour, and catches some sediment. Lead, nitrate, PFAS and microplastics pass straight through.
Under-sink carbon blockCarbon onlyHandles chlorine, many pesticides and industrial chemicals (VOCs), and some lead. PFAS only partly, and only until the carbon loads up.
Bottled waterNot filtrationReplaces your supply rather than treating it. Independent testing has repeatedly found microplastics in bottled water, and the cost recurs every week.
The facts

What we know about UK tap water.

A few things worth knowing about the water most UK homes drink. Where the evidence is strong we say so; where it is not, we say that too.

35–37%
of UK drinking-water samples contain PFAS. PFOA is classified Group 1 — carcinogenic to humans. It is not tested at postcode level and not removed at the treatment works.
Royal Society of Chemistry · IARC (WHO)
No safe level
There is no safe limit for lead in drinking water. Older properties may still have lead supply pipes and fittings.
World Health Organization
Not yet known
Microplastics are in UK tap water and in human blood and tissue. WHO's position is that the evidence does not establish a health risk — and that the data needed to settle it does not exist yet.
WHO · peer-reviewed sampling studies
Works, not tap
Published figures reflect water leaving the treatment works — not the water reaching your home.

Hard water

In harder-water areas we can add a water softener alongside your filtration, protecting appliances and pipework as well as improving the water you drink.
